| Deposit | THE ORE OCCURS IN A SERIES OF VEINS STRIKING N 20 W CUTTING THROUGH THE GRAY MICACEOUS SCHIST COUNTRY ROCK. THE SCHIST HAS BEEN EXTENSIVELY ALTERED ALONG BOTH WALLS OF THE VEIN. THE SCHIST CONSISTS MOSTLY OF QUARTZ AND BIOTITE. QUARTZ AND CALCITE ARE THE PRINCIPAL VEIN MATERIALS AND EPIDOTE, GARNET, AMPHIBOLE AND SPECULAR HEMATITE ARE ABUNDANT IN THE WALL ROCK. TOURMALINE ALSO OCCURS IN SOME OF THE DUMP SAMPLES. THE ORE CONSISTS OF BORNITE, CHALCOPYRITE, CHALCOCITE AND MOLYBDENITE. VARYING AMOUNTS OF GOLD HAVE ALSO BEEN FOUND. THE OUTCROPS OF THE VEINS ARE OXIDIZED TO A BROWN GRANULAR MASS AND ARE STAINED WITH MALCHITE AND AZURIE. |
