Deposit THE URANIUM OCCURS IN A ONE-FOOT BED OF BLACK PEAT AT THE BASE OF THE DAKOTA SANDSTONE. THE DAKOTA HERE IS WARPED INTO OPEN BUT STEEPLY PLUNGING FOLDS BECAUSE OF THE DRAG CAUSED BY THE NACIMIENTO REVERSE FAULT LOCATED ONE MILE TO THE EAST.
