  • MINE WAS DEVELOPED ON SEVEN LEVELS AT 30 M INTERVALS. ONLY A RELATIVELY SMALL AMOUNT OF ECONOMICALLY MINEABLE ORE WAS MINED ON THE 7TH LEVEL. IN 1974, THE UNDERGROUND MINE WAS COVERED BY THE DUMP AND TAILINGS POND. THE ADIT BY CHESTNUT CREEK WAS CLOSED OFF BY A WOODEN DOOR.
