Comments on the geologic information

  • JACADIGO GROUP OVERLIES BASEMENT AND CONSISTS OF TAQUARAL, URUCUM, AND SANTA CRUZ FORMATIONS FROM BOTTOM TO TOP, AND IS OVERLAIN BY CORUMBA GROUP DEPOSITED IN VENDIEM. FAULT CONTROLLED SEDIMENTATION DURING 950-850 MA, FORMED JACADIGO GROUP IN AN INTRACRATONIC BASIN UNDER FLUVIAL-LACUSTRINE CONDITIONS CHANGING TO SHALLOW MARINE. DROPSTONES IN SANTA CRUZ FM SUGGEST DEPOSITION IN A PERIGLACIAL ENVIRONMENT.
