BUT THE FOLLOWING FACTORS LEAD TO DOUBTS AS TO THE ECONOMIC FEASABILITY OF WORKING IT ON A LARGE SCALE IN THE NEAR FUTURE: 1) REMOTE LOCATION OF DEPOSITS AT EASTERN TIP OF COUNTRY IN LOW LYING SPARSELY POPULATED PLAINS; 2) ABSENCE OF A LOCAL MARKET; 3) LACK OF ADEQUATE COMMUNICATIONS WITH CENTERS OF CONSUMPTION IN BOLIVIA; AND 4) REMOTENESS FROM POSSIBLE EXPORTING PORTS, AS MUTUN IS 1500 KM INLAND FROM ATLANTIC AND PACIFIC COASTS AND ONES 2500 KM FROM RIVER PLATE ESTUARY, THE LOGICAL EXPORT OUTLET FOR ITS ONES.
