Deposit OPEN CUT HAS SOME SULFIDE MINERALIZED ROCK. MINE 1.5 KM SOUTH OF AN ULTRAMAFIC DIKE OUTCROP THAT WAS PROSPECTED FOR ASBESTOS. POSSIBLE STRIKE OF DIKE NORTH 0 TO 30 DEGREES EAST
Deposit REED, J. C., JR., 1964 , SHOWS A SMALL ULTRAMAFIC BODY OF ROCK NEAR THE MINE. THE ULTRAMAFIC BODY MAY BE A DIKE BUT CANNOT BE TRACED ANY DISTANCE. THIS MINE IS REPORTEDLY THE SOURCE OF MANY RELATIVELY LARGE NUGGETS AND WAS A GOOD MINE WHEN FIRST OPENED.
