Deposit MINE AND CONCENTRATOR; THE SUCCESSION UNDERLAYING THE CLAIMS THAT COMPRISE THE PROPERTY BELONG TO THE BULAWAYAN AND SHAMVARIAN SYSTEMS, VOLCANICS AND SEDIMENTARY ROCKS BOUNDED BY GRANITE AND GNEISS. INTRUDED IN THESE FORMATIONS ARE A NUMBER OF SILL-LIKE BODIES OF PERIDOTITE NOW ALTERED TO SERPENTINITE. NICKEL CONCENTRATIONS, IN SULFIDE MINERALS, OCCUR IN SERPENTINITE AT LOW LOCALITIES, CARDIFF HILL AND TROJAN HILL. CARDIFF HILL CONTAINS THE PRINCIPAL DEPOSITS, AND HERE MOST OF THE SULFIDE MINERALS ARE DISSEMINATED IN SHEARED SERPENTINITE BUT APPEAR TO HAVE BEEN REMOBILISED ON THE FOOTWALL CONTACT WERE VCKEL AND COPPER CATHODES AND COBALT SLUDGE THERE ARE NO PUBLISHED FIGURES AVAILABLE FOR THE INDIVIDUAL MINES OUTPUT. THE CONCENTRATOR IS DESIGNED TO TREAT 50 000 SHORT TONS OF ORE A MONTH.THE NI WILL BE RECOVERED BY CONVENTIONAL FROTH FLOTATION INTO A CONCENTRATE CONTAINING 15 % NI.
Deposit SHAFT TO 770 FEET DEPTH. THERE ARE THREE OREBODIES. THE HANGING WALL OREBODY, THE MAIN OREBODY, AND THE FOOTWALL OREBODY. THE FIRST TWO ARE MASSIVE DEPOSITS AND CONTAIN THE BULK OF THE ORE POTENTIAL.
