THE HEAVY MINERAL CONCENTRATE IS CARRIED TO NARNGULU, ABOUT 17 KM FROM PORT GERALTON, WHERE SEPARATION OF THE MINERAL FRACTION IS CARRIED OUT. DU PONT IS CONTRACTED TO BUY ALL THE OPERATION'S ILMENITE PRODUCTION, BUT SALES FOR ALL THE OTHER PRODUCTS IS HANDLED BY A.M.C. IN LONDON. ; ECON.COM: (MINING MAGAZINE 8.1974) CONSORTIUM OF AUSTRALIAN BANKS IS PROVIDING FINANCE TO THE TUNE OF A$ 13.2 MILLION.

Deposit THE WATER-LAID STRANDLINE DEPOSITS AT THE BASE OF THE MINERALIZATION ARE GENERALLY HIGH GRADE, RANGING FROM 20 TO 60 PER CENT HEAVY MINERALS OVER A THICKNESS OF 1.5 M TO 3.0 M. THE OVERLYING YELLOW SAND,USUALLY 9 TO 10 M THICK. HAS A 5 TO 10% HEAVY MINERAL CONTENT. AVERAGE OVERALL ABOUT 9%.
