  • MINOR BLACK IRON-OXIDE STAIN IS PRESENT ON SILICA CEMENT; NO OTHER VISIBLE METALLIC MINERALIZATION. OTHER EXPOSURES OF CONGLOMERATE AND SANDSTONE ARE PRESENT IN AREA. THE CONGLOMERATE CONTAINS SOME EUHEDRAL PIECES OF FELDSPAR.

  • IN 1978 THERE WAS A 12 FT (4 M) BY 8 FT (2 M) WATER FILLED SHAFT IN THE HILLSIDE ABOVE THE LEVEL OF THE STREAM. 35 FT SW ALONG STREAM, A SMALLER 5 FT X 5 FT WATER FILLED SHAFT; ABOUT 1400 FT SW IS A SMALL HILLSIDE CUT AND DUMP (CUT IS APPROX. 20 FT WIDE AND 30 FT DEEP) -- NOTED IN 1985.

  • ACCORDING TO LOCAL RESIDENTS GOLD WAS MINED FROM THIS PROPERTY IN THE LATE 1800'S.
