(1.4 MILE) N OF INTERSECTION, ON DIRT ROAD CONTINUATION OF ROUTE 821, WORKINGS INTERSECT THE ROAD. 1400 FT (0.25 MILE) N 57 E OF ROAD IS THE MAIN PORTAL. WORKINGS EXTEND 1200 FT TO NE AND 2700 FT (0.5 MILE) TO SW ALONG TREND. LOCATIONS FIELD CHECKED MARCH, 1987.

Deposit CURREY (1859) REPORTS THE ANN PHIPPS WORKINGS EXTEND 3/4 OF A MILE TO THE NE FROM THE KIRKBRIDE TRACT ON BABBITTS CREEK. HE ALSO DESCRIBES THE WILDCAT WORKINGS NE OF THE ANN PHIPPS MINES, BUT DOES NOT MENTION THE WOLFPIT MINE. LATER WORKS SHOW THE WOLFPIT MINE TO THE SW OF THE WILDCAT MINE, BUT DO NOT SHOW THE ANN PHIPPS. I HAVE INCLUDED WORKINGS NE OF THE MAIN PORTAL WITH THE ANN PHIPPS (RATHER THAN THE WOLFPIT) TO MATCH CURREY'S DESCRIPTION.
