  • SHAFT REPORTED TO RANGE IN DEPTH 6M TO 15M; NUMEROUS PITS AND SHALLOW DEPRESSIONS ALONG DICKEY HILL TRAIL REPORTED IN 1978, PITS AVERAGED 2M IN DIAMETER AND APPEARED TO BE DUG IN SOIL ONLY, NOT BEDROCK. ONE OPENCUT WAS 23 M (75 FT) LONG.
