  • DEV$: 229 ; EXPAN$: 38 ; MILL.CAP: 1,440,000 ; ECON.YEAR: 1980 ; ECON.COM: THE MINE HAS AN ESTIMATED LIFE OF 35 - 40 YEARS. PRESENT OPERATING COSTS ARE COMPARATIVELY LOW AS EQUIPMENT WAS PURCHASED PRIOR TO ACTUAL NEED AT COSTS CONSIDERABLY LESS THAN WOULD PRESENTLY BE THE CASE. THE MILLING CONSTRAINT IMPOSED BY LARGE ROCKS IN RUN OF MINE ORE IS TO BE OVERCOME BY THE INSTALLATION OF A PRIMARY CRUSHER ON SURFACE WHICH IS EXPECTED TO BE OPERATIONAL DURING THE THIRD QUARTER OF 1981. UNTIL THEN, THE LARGE ROCKS WILL BE SCREENED OFF AND STOCKPILED. THEREAFTER IS IS HOPED TO ACHIEVE A MILLING RATE OF 120,000 TONS PER MONTH.
