  • WORKINGS CONSIST OF PROSPECT TRENCHES AND SHAFTS. SHALLOW CAVED PITS AND TRENCH WERE PRESENT IN FEB 1987.

  • AREA WAS PROSPECTED AROUND 1800, WHEN RUTILE WAS MISTAKEN FOR PYRARGYRITE/PROUSTITE. PROSPECTING FOR TITANIFEROUS ORE WAS BEGUN AROUND 1910 BY TITANIUM ALLOY CO., WHICH DUG SEVERAL PITS AND SUNK SEVERAL SHAFTS. NO MINE WAS DEVELOPED. SIXTY FT SHAFT SUNK IN 1918.
