| Deposit | BARITE IS WHITE COARSELY CRYSTALLINE AND OCCURS AS NODULES IN RESIDUAL CLAY AND MOSTLY IN VEINS. VEINS ARE GENERALLY ONLY A COUPLE OF INCHES WIDE, BUT AT LEAST TWO VEINS OF GREATER THICKNESS WERE REPORTED IN THE TUNNELS. BARITE VEINS OCCUR IN MARBLE AND MICA SCHIST. MARBLE IS IN THE MOUNT ATHOS FORMATION. |
