Comments on the geologic information

  • LIMESTONE/DOLOMITE IN OUTCROP AND IN THE DUMPS ARE STRONGLY FRACTURED AND BRECCIATED, WITH MINOR CHERT, AND IRON STAINED CALCITE ALONG FRACTURES. NO SULFIDES OR FLUORITE WAS FOUND. WATSON (1905) DESCRIBES THE FLUORITE AS OCCURING IN MASSES LARGE ENOUGH TO SHOW GOOD CLEAVAGE AND IN VERY SMALL GRAINS ASSOCIATED WITH CALCITE OR DOLOMITE FILLINGOF THE BRECCIATED LIMESTONE.

General comments

Subject category Comment text
Deposit MINERALIZATION OCCURS AS REPLACEMENT AND OPEN SPACE FILLING BETWEEN BROKEN FRAGMENTS OF A LIMESTONE BRECCIA ALONG A FAULT WITH STRIKE N 70 DEG E AND DIPS 60 DEG SE. THE FAULT FORMS THE FOOTWALL OF THE BRECCIATED ZONE. THE LIMESTONE STRIKES N 70 DEG E AND DIPS 45 DEG SE (15 DEGREES LESS THAN INTERSECTING FAULT).
