  • THE MINE WAS ONE OF THE MOST IMPORTANT TUNGSTEN PRODUCERS DURING THE FIRST WORLD WAR. ACCORDING TO ONE OF AHLHELD'S REFERENCES ONE POCKET OF THE MINE YIELDED 800 TONS OF PURE FERBERITE.

Deposit THE TUNGSTEN ORE OCCURS ALONG A SERIES OF FRACTURES WHERE THEY INTERSECT TWO LARGE SIDERITE VEINS. REPLACEMENT OF SIDERITE AND SOME SCHEELITE IS OBSERVED. AT 170 METERS DEPTH REPLACEMENT OF PYRRHOTITE BY PYRITE AND MARCASITE IS OBSERVED.
