  • NUMEROUS OPEN CUTS HAVE BEEN MADE IN THESE VEINS AND A FEW SHAFTS. MOST OF THE BARITE THAT HAS BEEN SHIPPED HAS BEEN EXTRACTED FROM OPEN CUTS IN THREE VEINS, THE CUTS BEING FROM 7 TO 9 FEET DEEP AND 3 TO 8 FEET WIDE. (ROBINSON, 1931)
