ST. JOE MBL & BOONE CHERT OUTCROP ABOVE, TOWARD TOPS OF HILLS. CARBONATE WAS DEPOSITED IN SMALL CRACKS IN THE ROCKS WHICH LATER DISSOLVED OUT, LEAVING A VERY OPEN TEXTURED CARBONATE ORE. SOME THIN LAYERS OF QUARTZ CRYSTALS ARE EVIDENTLY FROM THE SAME DEPOSITION AND LATER EXPOSURE

IS AN OPEN CUT ON THE WEST SIDE OF THE HILL, 12 FEET HIGH, INNER FACE, WITH SHAFT SUNK IN FLOOR OF THE CUT. SPHALERITE NOT VERY ABUNDANT AS OF 1892.

LIKELY THAT A SMALL AMOUNT OF ZINC ORE FROM THIS SITE WENT INTO A ZINC ORE SHIPMENT AT SOME POINT.
