  • ROCK IS FULL OF SMALL CAVITIES (UP TO FORTY PER SQUARE FOOT) WITH MINUTE QUARTZ CRYSTALS LINING THEM, SOME WITH SPHALERITE IN THE CENTER. ORE BEARING ROCK IS 150 FEET BELOW THE ST. JOE MARBLE.

  • CUT #1: 30X20X4 FEET DEEP, IN CREEK BED. CUT 2 IS 90 FEET SOUTH, AND IS 80'X40'X5 FEET DEEP. SHAFT, ONE IS 50 FEET DEEP AND PASSES THROUGH A 12 FOOT THICK ORE BED, THE SAME AS THAT EXPOSE IN OPEN CUT #1. SHAFT 2 IS 45 FEET DEEP AND PENETRATES THE SAME ORE BED AS SHAFT 1.

  • A STEAM CRUSHER AND JIGS HAD BEEN ERECTED ON THIS SITE, AND AT THIS TIME A.H. PURDUE INSPECTED IT FIVE OR SIX TONS OF ORE HAD BEEN SACKEDFOR SHIPMENT.
