  • OPENING 1: A SHAFT 24 FEET DEEP, SPHALERITE IN SMALL AMOUNTS IN POCKETS. OPENING 2: A BLAST PIT AT CREEK LEVEL, SHOWING SPHALERITE IN VEINS IN BRECCIATED LIMESTONE. OPENING 3 IS 225 FEET N. 70 DEGREES OF #2, AND IS AN OPEN CUT 18 FEET LONG ALONG THE CLIFF, GOING INTO HILL 10 FEET, 8 FEET DEEP AT THE BACK. SPHALERITE AND SMITHSONITE OCCURS IN FRACTURES IN QUARTZITE AND LIMESTONE. OPENING 4 IS A SHAFT ON THE WEST BANK OSPHALERITE IN GOOD QUANTITY WAS STRUCK AT 12 FEET DOWN, IN A FOUR-FOOT F THE CREEK, 18 FEET DEEP AND 300 FEET S. 70 DEGREES W FROM OPENING 2. THICK BED OF BRECCIATED LIMESTONE.
