  • WORKINGS CONSISTED OF SEVERAL SHALLOW PITS, A SHORT TUNNEL 60' X 16' WIDE AND A PIT 25' SQUARE AND 20' DEEP. 1985 TUNNEL OPENING CLOSED UP BUT MEASURES 16' X 16'. SMALL PITS SE OF TUNNEL; MUCH MATERIAL AND ORE AROUND.

  • MINE WAS OPENED IN 1860 BUT LITTLE ORE WAS FOUND; REOPENED IN 1880 BUT WAS NOT EXTENSIVELY WORKED UNTIL 1886; 1000 TONS OF ORE MAY HAVE BEEN SHIPPED.
