  • MR. KINZER COLLECTED ROCK SAMPLES AND DUG A SHALLOW PROSPECT PIT N OF ELK CREEK (PERSONAL COMMUNICATION, 1985, FIELD HERRINGTON). GOLD WAS FOUND WITH PYRITE IN A QUARTZ VEIN TO THE NW OF THE VILLAGE OF ELK CREEK, BUT AN EXACT LOCATION WAS NOT KNOWN.
