  • EXPLORATION FOR GOLD DEPOSITS IN THE REGION HAS BEEN HAMPERED BY A GENERALLY THIN, DISCONTINUOUS MANTLE OF PLEISTOCENE GLACIAL DEPOSITS. ; ECON.COM: THIS PROSPECT AND THE SPALDING MINE OCCUR IN THE ROVE SLATE AREA WHICH HAS HAD A LARGE SILVER PRODUCTION ON THE CANADIAN SIDE OF THE BORDER.
