  • CROSS FISSURES IN THE ASHBED AMYGDALOID WERE MINED AT GARDEN CITY. SMALL DEVELOPMENT AND STOPING WAS DONE ALONG THE TOP OF THE AMYGDALOID SHAFTS INTO COPPER FISSCROSS FISSURES IN THE ASHBED AMYGDALOID WERE MINED AT GARDEN CITY. SMALL DEVELOPMENT AND STOPING WAS DONE ALONG THE TOP OF THE AMYGDALOID SHAFTS INTO COPPER FISSURE VEINS AND ALSO SOME STOPES ON THE ASHBED STRATA TO 600' DEPTH. ALSO REPORTED THAT MINE HAD AN 1100' FOOT DRIFT TO THE SOUTH.

Comments on development

  • TWO SHAFTS WERE SUNK INTO ASHBED IN 1856, AND A LARGE STAMP MILL WAS BUILT. ; ECON.COM: ORGANIZED IN OCT 24, 1855, WITH 20,000 SHARES AT $20 PER SHARE. IN 1879 IT WAS REORGANIZED AS THE CATON MINING CO., BUT NO WORK WAS DONE ON THE PROPERTY.
