Comments on the workings information

  • AT THIS MINE, GOOD ORE WAS PRESENT PRACTICALLY AT THE OUTCROP, AND ALTHOUGH THE GROUND VARIED IN GRADE IN DIFFERENT PARTS OF THE MINE, THERE IS NO RECORD OF A CONSISTENT CHANGE FROM THE SURFACE DOWNWARD. KEARSARGE WAS ONE OF THE RICHEST LODES - ESPECIALLY NEAR HANGING WALL. LODE AVERAGES 6-13 FEET THICK IN AREA OF MINING ACTIVITY.
