  • WORKING DEVELOPED A VEIN STRIKING N 55 E AND DIPPING 70 SE. DRIFTS FROM THE NO. 3A SHAFT START AT THE BOTTOMOF THE SHAFT AND WERE DRIVEN ALONG THE VEIN SW FOR 70 FT AND NE FOR ABOUT 50 FT. THE PLAN VIEW (BASTIN, 1931) SHOWS 7 SHAFTS AND 2 OPEN CUTS ALONG THE VEIN. THE VEIN AVERAGE 2.5 FT WIDE. WELLER AND OTHERS (1952) REPORT THAT DEPTHS OF 19 TO 180 FT HAD BEEN REACHED.
