Comments on the geologic information

  • INTRUSION IS A STOCK HAVING A LACCOLITHIC APOPHYSIS ON ITS NORTH AND EAST SIDES. MINERALIZATION BELOW FLOOR OF LACCOLITH IS ACCOMPANIED BY MOLYBDENITE AND CINNABAR. SECONDARY MOLYBDENUM MINERALS (FERRIMOLYBDITE AND ILSEMANNITE) HAVE BEEN FOUND IN FLUORITE ABOVE A SILL-LIKE APOPHYSIS OF THE LACCOLITH AND IN FRACTURES IN RHYOLITE ADJACENT TO FLUORSPAR OREBODIES. ENRICHMENT OF URANIUM, THORIUM, MOLYBDENUM, BERYLLIUM, VANADIUM, ARSENIC, AND LEAD IN FLUORITE ASSOCIATED WITH PERALKALINE RHYOLITES IN THE CHRISTMAS MOUNTAINS. URANIUM RESOURCES OF THE FLUORSPAR DEPOSITS HAVE BEEN DISCUSSED.
