  • THE BUREAU OF ECONOMIC GEOLOGY HAS DIAMOND DRILL CORE, DONATED BY PIONEER NUCLEAR, FROM THIS PROSPECT. REPORTED THAT MOLYBDENITE OCCURS IN RHYOLITES IN THE NORTHERN PART OF THE SOLITARIO. NOTED THAT THE INTRUSION LOCALLY CONTAINED ABUNDANT PYRITE. RECOGNIZED STOCKWORK QUARTZ-MOLYBDENITE VEINLETS LESS THAN 0.08 INCH (2 MM) WIDE IN QUARTZ LATITE CLASTS WITHIN VENT (?) BRECCIA OR AGGLOMERATE.
