  • 65 HOLES WERE DRILLED ON THE PROPERTY--43 ARE IN OR CLOSE TO THE OREBODY. ABOUT 500 GALLONS OF WATER PER MINUTE WAS PUMPED DURING MINING. THE ORE WAS WORKED ONLY IN THE IMMEDIATE VICINITY OF THE SHAFT AND AS AN IRREGULAR STOPE.

Deposit THE UPPER MISSISSIPPI VALLEY ZINC-LEAD DISTRICT LIES WITHIN THE SO-CALLED DRIFTLESS AREA WHERE NO MANTLE OF GLACIAL DRIFT IS PRESENT TO OBSCURE THE ROCK EXPOSURES. NATURAL CAVES ARE COMMON IN THE DISTRICT.
