  • 3 VEINS 1ST - SML VERT VEIN PROBABLY SAME AS OUTCROPS ON RIDGE 600 FT S., STRIKES N 10 W. 2ND - 290 FT FROM 1ST IN ADIT, STRIKES N 65 W, DIPS 50 NE. 3RD - STRIKES N 64 W THEN CHANGES TO N 15 W, 2 - 3 FT THICK, FADES TO SML STRINGERS. VEIN SHOWS BANDING OF QTZ & RIBBONS OF SLATY MATL. ADJACENT TO & ALONG RIBBONS ARE SML XTLS OF PYRITE & ARSENOPYRITE. PROJECTION SUGGESTS NE DIPPING VEINS ARE NOT N EXTENSIONS OF IRELAN VEINS. THO PROBABLY THE BELONG TO SAME SYSTEM. VERT VEIN SHOWS SIGNS OF POSTMINERAL SHEARING. E VEIN HAS WELL DEFINED HANGING WALL - IN PLACES SML VERT QTZ STRINGERS ENTER E VEIN FROM FOOTWALL SIDE. NO EVIDENCE OF MARKED REPLACEMENT.
