Deposit VEIN ALONG CONTACT. ORE OCCURS IN POCKETS, WHICH LIE ALONG NW AND SE LIMBS OF ANTICLINE, BUT NOT AT CREST. VEIN GOUGE-FILLED WITH MANY SMALL STRINGERS. ON SUPRISE CLAIM: MAIN VEIN ALONG FAULT FRACTURE, WHICH DEPLACES SLATE-ANDESITE CONTACT ABOUT 20 FT. ON EMMA CLAIM: NUMEROUS QUARTZ STRINGERS, WHICH FORM RICH POCKETS AT INTERSECTION WITH SLATE. GOLD OCCURS IN CALCITE ALONG CONTACT AND IN POCKETS, AND IS FOUND AT POINTS WHERE STRINGERS OR VEIN CROSSES CONTACT. SURFACE ORE HONEYCOMBED FROM SOLUTION OF CALCITE AND STAINED IN PLACES BY MANGANESE OXIDE. ORE APPEARED TO BE DEPOSITED ALONG CLEAVAGE PLANES IN CALCITE.
