Deposit DISCOVERED IN 1869 AND WORKED MAINLY IN THE 1870'S PRODUCING BETWEEN $200,000 AND $2500000 WORTH OF AG ORE TILL 1874. 1898 TO 1905 MINE WAS WORKED ON A REDUC SCALE. MINE NOW OWNED BY ROCHESTER TREASURE MINING CO. THE MINE IS IN THE LOWER MEMBER OF THE PRIDA FORMATION NEAR THE CONTACT WITH THE UNDERLYING WEAVER RHYOLITE OF THE KOIPATO GROUP. RICH SILVER ORE OCCURS NEAR A LOWER TRIASSIE TOPOGRAPHIC HIGH FORMED BY A TRIASSIC RHYOLITE PORPHYRY INTRUSIVE THAT MAY HAVE BEEN THE SOURCE OF REMOBILIZED SILVER. ; INFO.SRC : 1 PUB LIT
