Deposit GOLD OCCURS AT COMTACT BETWEEN CONGLOMERATE AND BEDROCK. TERTIARY CANGALLI CONGLOMERATE CONSISTS OF CLASTS OF QUARTZITE AND SLATE IN A FERRUGINOUS CLAY MATRIX. BEROCK CONSISTS OF ORDOVICIAN SLATE AND QUARTZITE. GOLD OCCURS AS FLAKES UP TO 6 MM LONG. LOWER AMOUNTS OF GOLD ARE FOUND IN RECENT GRAVELS IN STREAMS CUTTING TERTIARY CONGLOMERATE.
