  • HOSTROCKS ARE HIGHLY BRECCIATED AND ALTERED LIMESTONES AND DOLOMITIC LIMESTONES. THE DARK GRAY, SMOOTH SURFACED, AND FINEGRAINED WALLROCKS WEATHER TO LIGHT BLUISH GRAY. THIN BANDS OF QUARTZITES ARE COMMON IN LIMESTONES. INTRAFORMATIONAL BRECCIA AND CONTORTED LAMINATIONS ARE ALSO FOUND.
