Deposit PLACER LIES IN EITHER LOW TERRACE GRAVELS OR FLOOD-PLAIN DEPOSITS ON OUTSIDE OF YAMPA RIVER MEANDER AT ROUND BOTTOM. AS THIS LIES DOWNSTREAM OF POSTULATED WILLIAMS FORK PLACERS, ORIGINAL SOURCE OF AU COULD BE MINERALIZED CRYSTALLINE ROCKS EITHER IN YAMPA RIVER HEADWATERS (PARK RANGE AND ELKHEAD MTNS) OR IN WILLIAMS FORK HEADWATERS (WHITE RIVER PLATEAU).
