  • WORKINGS REPORTED IN 1978 CONSISTED OF SEVERAL TEST PITS, SHALLOW SHAFTS RANGING FROM 30 TO 80 FT DEEP, TRENCHES, AND SHORT ADITS. THE LARGEST WORKINGS CONSIST OF AN OPENCUT ABOUT 300 FT LONG AND 10 TO 20 FT DEEP, AND A SHAFT ABOUT 80 FT DEEP. THERE ARE ALSO NUMEROUS SHALLOW PROSPECT PITS.

THIS RECORD INCLUDES DATA FROM RECORD NUMBER D009982 BY RONALD G. WORL WHICH HAS BEEN DELETED FROM MRDS. ; INFO.SRC : 1 PUB LIT; 2 UNPUB REPT
Deposit FLUORITE CROPS OUT AT MANY PLACES OVER SEVERAL TENS OF ACRES WITHIN THE PROSPECT AREA. FLUORSPAR DEPOSITS IN THE FORM OF VEINS, VEINLETS, STOCKWORKS, AND REPLACEMENTS OF ANDESITE ARE EXPOSED IN NUMEROUS WORKINGS. IRREGULAR-SHAPED MASSES OF JASPERIZED ANDESITE AND RHYOLITE CONTAINING FLUORITE ARE SCATTERED OVER THE CLAIMS. A LAYER OF HIGH-GRADE FLUORSPAR, 6 IN TO 3 FT THICK, IS EXPOSED IN A CUT AT THE LINDA VISTA MINE.
