General comments

Subject category Comment text
Deposit ALONG SOUTH SIDE OF IRON HILL COMPLEX, PYROXENITE IS INTRUDED BY LARGE MASS OF UNCOMPAHGRITE AND TOWARD THE SE BY MASS OF IJOLITE. SWARMS OF CARBONATITE DIKES TREND GENERALLY EAST-WEST AND WNW-ESE PARALLEL TO LONG DIMENSION OF COMPLEX AND ALSO GENERALLY NW AND NNW-SSE IN RADIAL ORIENTATION WITH RESPECT TO MAIN CARBONATITE STOCK. VERMICULITE IS SPORADIC BUT LOCALLY ABUNDANT IN ALTERED PYROXENITE AS PODLIKE SEGREGATIONS AND DIKELIKE BODIES, RESULTING FROM WEATHERING OF BIOTITE OR PHLOGOPITE.
