Deposit SULFIDES ENCOUNTERED AT ABOUT 50 FT. DEPTH. VEIN AVERAGES 6 FT WIDE AT BOTTOM OF SHAFT. VEIN OUTCROPS EXTEND ABOUT 6300 FT TO SOUTH, BUT NOT TRACEABLE TO NORTH INTO BASIN. ABOVE DESCRIBES MAIN HOMESTAKE VEIN. UPPER PORTION OF VEIN IS RELATIVELY HIGHER IN COPPER, MIDDLE PORTION IN LEAD, AND LOWER PART IN ZINC.
