  • SEVERAL QUARRIES WORKED OVER A 0.5 MILE SQUARE AREA. THE LARGEST QUARRIES IS 40 FEET DEEP AND 200 FEET SQUARE. THIS IS THE BURKE QUARRY. THREE PROSPECTS ARE LOCATED 0.4 MILES WEST, NORTH OF ACCESS ROAD.

  • THE GROUT QUARRY, THE MOST NORTHERN, WAS THE FIRST TO OPEN IN 1899. THE OTHERS FOLLOWED IN THE EARLY 1900'S. THE BURKE WAS THE LAST TO OPERATE.
