Deposit 2 ADJACENT GEYSER VENTS: THE LARGER IS 6 M WIDE BY 3 M HIGH; THE SMALLER 4 M WIDE BY 2 M HIGH. BOTH ARE COMPOSED OF POROUS YELLOWISH TRAVERTINE WITH SCATTERED STRINGERS OF ONYX. BORATES ARE IN THE DISCHARGED MATERIAL AROUND THE CONES. THE HOT SPRINGS HAVE FORMED A TRAVERTINE TERRACE 100 M LONG AND 20 M WIDE BY 1.5 M THICK; THE TRAVERTINE IS MIXED WITH GRAVEL, SAND, AND ISOLATED LENSES OF ONYX.
Deposit FIRST KNOWN OCCURRENCE OF PINNOITE IN S. AMERICA.
