Comments on the geologic information

  • Geologic Description = Country rock consists of high-grade pelitic schist with subordinate calcareous schist, marble and augen gneiss. The country rock is intruded by W-bearing granitic rocks. The carbonate rocks are metamorphosed to skarn near the intrusive contacts. Scheelite appears in skarn beds and local quartz monzonite. W values are up to 2000 ppm, with minor Sn, Mo, and Cu (D. Menzie, oral commun., 1986).
