Deposit AU CONTAINED IN QUARTZ-PYRITE REPLACEMENT ALONG FAULT ZONE. HOST APPEARS TO BE ALTERED LAVA FLOW WITHIN SEQUENCE OF CONGLOMERATES, SANDSTONES, AGGLOMERATES, AND OTHER FLOWS IN SANTA FE AND/OR VALLEJO FMS SIMILAR TO PLOMO (RITO SECO) MINE (ACCORDING TO JOHNSON'S (1969) MAP), BUT VAN DEIST SHOWS HOST TO BE SILURIAN (MORE LIKELY PENNSYLVANIAN) SILICEOUS LIMESTONE IN FAULT CONTACT WITH PRECAMBRIAN GRANITE. FAULT TRENDS N 35 E, 52.5 NW.
