| Deposit | FLUORITE IS FOUND WITH MINOR BARITE, QUARTZ, CALCITE, AND GALENA IN A FAULT FISSURE STRIKING N 30 W IN LIMESTONE. THE FLUORITE OCCURS AS VEIN FILLING OF FINE TO MEDIUM WHITE TO VIOLET CRYSTALS, UP TO 18 IN WIDE AS EXPOSED. AN ADDITIONAL 18 IN OF MATERIAL ADJACENT TO THE VEIN PROPER SHOW FLUORITE AS CEMENTING MATERIAL FOR BRECCIATED ROCK FRAGMENTS. THE VEIN, AT THE BOTTOM OF THE 35 FT INCLINED SHAFT IS 3 FT WIDE. THE FILLING IS FINE-GRAINED PURPLE FLUORITE, CEMENTING AND PARTIALLY REPLACING LIMESTONE WALL-ROCK INCLUSIONS. ASSOCIATED BARITE IS PRESENT AS THIN, PLATY CRYSTALS. MINOR AMOUNTS OF GALENA, QUARTZ, AND CALCITE ARE ALSO EVIDENT. |
