  • A SERIES OF WHITE QUARTZ VEINS WITH GOLD VALUES IN SHOOTS FROM 0.5 - 5.0 M IN WIDTH HAVE BEEN WORKED IN THE DISTRICT. HOST ROCKS ARE GRANITE, META-ANDESITE AND SANDSTONES, OVERLAIN BY RHYOLITE AND INTRUDED BY PLUGS OF DIORITE AND PYROXENITE. A STEEP DIPPING STOCKWORK OF BARREN QUARTZ VEINLETS CHARACTERIZES THE CENTRAL PART OF THE AREA.
