General comments

Subject category Comment text
Deposit DIATOMITE IS INTERBEDDED WITH LIMESTONE. IN SKELETON WASH, THESE INTERBEDDED UNITS FORM A CLIFF ABOUT 20 FT HIGH ON THE WEST BANK OF A WASH. THE DIATOMACEOUS BEDS CAN BE TRACED DISCONTINUOUSLY NORTHWARD FOR ABOUT 600 FT AND ARE APPROXIMATELY HORIZONTAL. TO THE SOUTH OF THE OUTCROP, THE BEDS ARE CUT OFF BY A NORTHERLY-TRENDING FAULT.
