Controls for ore emplacement

  • The Deposit Was In The Basal Part Of A Serpentinized Pyroxenite Sill, Which Was Emplaced In A Syncline Plunging Gently To The East. The Sill Follows The North Limb Of The Syncline Over Strike Length Of About 6,000 Feet; It Is 200-300 Feet Thick And Dips About 50 Degrees. Sulfide Ore Occurs Where The Basal Contact Of The Sill Makes A Troughlike Reentrant Into The Footwall.
