  • IN 1982, SEVERAL PROSPECT PITS AND A TRENCH WERE PRESENT ON BOTH SIDES OF MOUNTAIN BRANCH. PITS ARE ABOUT 4.6-6 M (15-20 FT) IN DIAMETER WITH A MAXIMUM DEPTH OF 1.5 M (5 FT). A RIM DUMP AS WELL AS BOULDER SIZE "BULL" QUARTZ IS PRESENT ALONG A NORTHEAST-SOUTHWEST STRIKE. NO METALLIC MINERALIZATION WAS SEEN AT THE SITE.
