Deposit NEARLY VERTICAL SHEAR ZONE PARALLEL TO BANDING IN HORNBLENDE PLAGIOCLASE TO HORNBLENDE BIOTITE GNEISS STRIKES N 20 DEGREES-30 DEGREES W, CONTAINS BANDED PYRRHOTITE, SPHALERITE, CHALCOPYRITE. ZONE EXPOSED BY 22 OPEN CUTS AND 16 FT. SHAFT ALONG STRIKE FOR 1,150, OVER A WIDTH OF 1-10 FT. VERY SMALL AMOUNTS OF GALENA ALSO PRESENT IN ORE.
Deposit CLAIMS OPTIONED BY PLACID OIL CO. IN 1978, AND WAS DRILLED FROM 1978-81. CLAIMS WERE DROPPED BY PLACID OIL IN 1982. ; INFO.SRC : 1 PUB LIT
