OBSERVATION
| Subject category | Comment text |

| Deposit | QUARTZITES ARE FRACTURED AND VEINED BY QUARTZ ALONG N25W ORIENTATION. SOME BRECCIA ALSO OBSERVED. DUMP CONSISTS OF QUARTZITE AND QUARTZ-CEMENTED QUARTZITE BRECCIA. VUGGY, OPEN-CENTERED COMB QUARTZ VEINS CUT THE QUARTZITE. MANY OF THE VEINS ARE ABOUT 1 IN. WIDE, AND QUARTZ IS TYPICALLY WHITE TO VITREOUS GREY. VUGS IN THE VEIN ARE FILLED BY LIMONITE AND HEMATITE. STREAKS AND CLOTS OF VERY FINE-GRAINED SULFIDES OCCUR IN QUARTZ. CLOTS OF TETRAHEDRITE ARE COMMON WITH RIMS OXIDIZED TO COPPER OXIDES. SOME SUGARY, DENSE QUARTZ VEIN MATERIAL CONTAINS ABUNDANT FINELY DISSEMINATED UNOXIDIZED PYRITE. |
