Comments on the geologic information

  • Geologic Description = Small amounts of gold occur in stratified glacial-fluvial gravels at the mouth of Indian Creek canyon. In 1903 an elaborate hydraulic plant was assembled at the site, but was not profitable to operate. It was subsequently abandoned (Martin and other, 1915).
  • Age = Quaternary.
